Soul District - MLK Walking Tour
The NE Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard project will enhance pedestrian crossings and reduce gaps between crossings to improve safety, access transit, and access to destinations along MLK.
PBOT is actively working in partnership with the Soul District Business Association and key stakeholders on NE MLK Jr Blvd corridor to identify future priorities and seek funding for additional investments to improve safety and access along this corridor.
Spring Fling St. Johns
Come support the small businesses in St. Johns and stop by our table outside of Cathedral Eye Care to say hi!
Last Thursday Art & Politics
Come join State Representative Dr. Thuy Tran and myself on Alberta Street for Last Thursday this April. For this month’s artwork, we will be showcasing local artist Frank Castro (@crankfastro). Dr. Tran is an endorser of my campaign for city council and a fellow small business owner in NE Portland. Please come by to visit with us and let us know how we can best serve our areas of Portland.
Vernon Neighborhood Association Meeting
Vernon neighbors, please join me at the April Vernon Neighborhood Association meeting to discuss all things Alberta Street, including the past, present, and potential future of Alberta Main Street.
Power to the People with Rep. Tran
I’ll be visiting with Oregon State Representative Thuy Tran at her Power to the People event. Rep. Tran is a colleague of ours in the eye care industry and we have worked together on some efforts to support our profession and small businesses like ours. She’s been generous enough to share some tips on campaigning and help me get started as a first time candidate.
An evening with the candidate - St. Johns
Please join our friends at The Garrison in St. Johns for an evening out in our wonderful small business district. Cathedral Eye Care was the first business to sign a lease in the Two/Thirds Development, and shortly after we opened I recruited my close friend Ben to bring his cocktail bar the Garrison to the building. Come join us to talk BottleDrops, day centers, or anything else that relates to our St. Johns community. Please RVSP to our Facebook event so that we can plan accordingly.
An evening with the candidate - Concordia
Please join our friends at Wilder Bar on NE 30th & Killingsworth as we shift the campaign into gear with our first fundraising event. Many of the conversations that lead to my eventual decision to enter the race started right here at the bar of Wilder. Owner and operater Ben Preacher is a strong supporter of the campaign and a partner in guiding my thoughts on policy for Portland. I hope I get the opportunity to meet you and enjoy a cocktail at this Concordia neighborhood institution.
District 2 Candidate Forum in St. Johns
The City Charter Reform voters approved in 2022 will soon take effect. It creates four separate city districts. North and Northeast Portland comprise District 2 where voters will elect three councilors as representatives. This will be a unique election in the city’s history to date. The North Peninsula Review is hosting a District 2 candidate forum on March 6, 2024 in order to offer residents an opportunity to get to know the candidates better.
